Thanks! *nodnod* On several recent story attempts, I got bogged down in the beginning because every time I made forward progress I realized something had to change at the start, and then it would become a neverending revision loop. I've gotten better about writing past that stage, because it really is easier to fix the beginning once the ending is written. *laugh* But in this case, I knew I needed a solid start or I'd lose momentum. I kept writing ahead anyway, but in the back of my mind I really, really wanted to get the beginning mostly right. I know I'll tweak it later after the draft is done, but at least now I'm confident I've gotten the story off on the right track.

...I hope, anyway. :P
